If you’ve been following my posts you’ll know I’ve been a bit concerned about my potatoes. I was one of the first on the plot to put mine in. I saw a weather forecast for a few days sun and got all excited, only to see light frost a few days later!
I have to say thanks to everyone we replied to my last post, as it really helped put my mind at ease. The general consensus what that they’ll be fine as long as they have a good few inches of soil. So I plodded off to the plot and dug a little more ofer them, just to be sure.
While I was there I got talking to Pete, the tree guy. Turns out he had a large collection of chitting Charlotte potatoes and suggested I take a dozen as an insurance policy. I’ll keep then indoors now till good Friday the sow an extra row to make sure I get at least 1 crop this year.
